How much do barrels cost in Austin? When I lived up north I could get 55 gallon drums (metal or plastic) which had been used for shipping grape juice, for about $5 each.

I’m sure folks could find sources for cheapie , low tech rain barrels that take a little more maintenance & are a bit harder to connect a hose to. If the price is right it might beat the $60 rain barrels that the City of Austin is selling:
