Seems to me that locavores could grow these fruits at home and sell them at local farmers markets. They need moisture, grow in open shade, can be grown in pots to be taken inside in cold weather. Internet prices for the fruit seem extremely very high to me. So growing them locally should be a good money making crop. Fruits make sour and bitter foods taste sweet without adding sugar.
